This year marks the 40th year since I had my first paying job as a contract programmer.
I've been an eye witness to a lot of the changes in the computer industry during those four decades. I've been a computer science professor, a contract programmer, and then a software architect. Now, I'm returning to my teaching roots with my latest venture: Concurrency Magic.

My Passions
I love to travel and explore. For more on my traveling, see my Travel page.
My favorite activity is dancing, any kind of dancing. Lately, I've had the pleasure of square dancing and round dancing with Kathy at Swinging Squares in Rhode Island.
